TULSA, Oklahoma -- Tulsa Fire Department investigators say they've found remnants of a meth lab at the scene of a fire which destroyed a metal storage building on Pine just east of Peoria Wednesday morning.
When firefighters arrived on the scene just before 6 a.m., the building at 1520 East Pine was engulfed in flames. They brought the fire under control in about 20 minutes.
Investigators say they are not sure if the meth lab and Wednesday's fire are related.
Investigators say firefighters have worked a total of 16 arsons over the past two months in a four-mile radius surrounding Wednesday's fire. That area is between Pine and Admiral and Utica to Lewis.
Investigators say the owner of the building had told PSO employees recently that a homeless man lived in the building. It's not clear if the homeless man was there Wednesday when the fire broke out.
The fire also damaged some nearby power lines and forced police to close Pine while fire crews worked the scene.
Anyone with information about Wednesday's fire or the other fires can call Tulsa Fire's Arson Hotline at 918-596-2776.
