CHOUTEAU, Oklahoma -- A man carpooling from Tulsa back to Chouteau after a day's work watched as his truck passed him by in the other direction. The truck had just been stolen from a McDonalds parking lot moments before, police say.
Chouteau police are now looking for two men they say stole the victim's green 1994 Chevy extended cab pickup from the restaurant's parking lot last Thursday. The victim had parked regularly in the lot and then carpooled to Tulsa for work.
The suspects' vehicle was captured on surveillance video. Their red truck is seen in the lower left hand corner of the photo of the parking lot. It has a custom shell on the bed.
Police say the suspects themselves were seen on camera inside the fast food restaurant. The first suspect stands at the register wearing sunglasses, orange hat, and an unbuttoned shirt. The second suspect is seen in a gray tank top in the lower end of one of the photos released.
The stolen truck was heading westbound on Highway 412 towards Tulsa.
