TULSA, Oklahoma -- The largest class in the Tulsa Fire Department's history has been busy training on Wednesday.
Fifty cadets are learning different firefighting tactics.
The cadets went through seven stations on the TFD training pad, including water exercises, foam exercises and different elevations with ladders on a high rise structure.
"We want them to be ready so that whenever that alarm hits the very first day they go out on shift, they're prepared," said Training Officer Chuck French with the Tulsa Fire Department.
"They're going to go out, and they're going to be able to operate safely and effective on the fire ground, and they're also going to do a good job for the citizens of Tulsa."
These cadets are expected to graduate sometime in late September.
