Tulsa, Oklahoma -- There was a birthday bonanza at the Tulsa Zoo Wednesday morning. Bernsen - the zoo's youngest chimpanzee - turned four years old.

Like any "baby" of the family, he loved all of the attention.

"Bernsen is definitely known as the acrobat of the troop: the handstand, pirouette and somersault king," said Maureen O'Leary, primate zookeeper.

The birthday boy unwrapped his gifts. Zookeepers hid treats inside these paper mache balls for a little fun.

And for a sweet treat, the chimps and their human party guests had some fruit.
