WELEETKA, Oklahoma -- Wednesday, June 8, 2011 marks the 3rd anniversary of the deaths of two Weleetka girls.

The two girls, ages 13 and 11 were found shot to death beside a rural Okfuskee County road.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation and the Okfuskee County Sheriff's Office have continued to investigate the case involving the murders of Taylor Paschal-Placker and Skyla Whitaker.

The OSBI says they've recently received additional assistance from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, which has generated new leads.

Officials say they are confident that this case will be solved, but so far authorities have made no arrests.

The girls were shot 13 times with two guns as they walked down the road about four miles northeast of Weleetka.
