Broken Arrow Cemetery Honors Veterans With Avenue Of Flags

TULSA, Oklahoma -- Memorial Day weekend is a time to remember lost loved ones and say a humble thanks to the men and women who gave their lives for our country.

Broken Arrow's Floral Haven Cemetery is honoring our veterans with the Annual Avenue Of Flags.

Cadets from area Junior ROTC programs helped raise 2,851 casket flags donated by veterans families in years past.

The tradition began in 1972, when a widow brought her husband's flag to Floral Haven and ask that it be flown.

The funeral home and cemetery is hosting special events all weekend to mark Memorial Day.
