Dana Holgorsen has denied being contacted by Pitt officials about their head coaching vacancy.&#160; A source has confirmed to Oklahoma Sports that Holgorsen was in Houston recruiting on Wednesday.&#160; &#160;</P>&#160;</P>From the outside looking in, some might wonder why he would take the Pitt job rather than hold out for perhaps Miami or another vacancy that might occur once the coaching dominoes start to tumble.</P>&#160;</P>Pitt is a very good job in a conference that you can win every year.&#160; Dave Wannstedt won a share of the league this season with a 7-5 record.&#160; He was a win over Connecticut away from an outright conference title and a BCS bowl game.&#160; And Wannstedt resigned under pressure.</P>&#160;</P>Who do you have to go through in the Big East?&#160; West Virginia?&#160; TCU coming soon?&#160; That&rsquo;s a far cry from Alabama, LSU, Auburn, Georgia and Arkansas in the SEC.&#160; Or Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Texas A&amp;M in the Big 12.</P>&#160;</P>His offense could light that league up like a Disney World 4th of July show.&#160;&#160; &#160;</P>&#160;</P>Pitt plays in an NFL stadium and has great facilities on its campus.&#160; And, perhaps most importantly, Pennsylvania is a recruiting hotbed.&#160; Especially for the players that Holgorsen needs the mostQUARTERBACKS.&#160; </P>&#160;</P>Check out this list of quarterbacks from Pennsylvania:&#160; Johnny Unitas, Joe Montana, Dan Marino, Joe Namath, Jim Kelly, Johnny Lujack and George Blanda just to name a few.</P>&#160;</P>&#160;</P><BR/>
