LUBBOCK, Texas -- The Oklahoma State Cowboys snapped a three-game losing streak Friday by topping the Texas Tech Red Raiders 11-10, thanks to an RBI single in the top of the ninth.

With two outs on the board and a runner on first, the Red Raiders (31-23, 10-15) intentionally walked Davis Duren, putting runners on second and third. Andrew Heck, the man Texas Tech decided to pitch to, drilled a single up the middle to bring Dane Phillips home and give Oklahoma State an 11-10 win.

Andrew Heaney (7-3) received a win for the outing, not allowing an earned run while giving up one hit in his .2 innings of service for Oklahoma State (34-19, 14-10). John Neely (9-1) received his first loss of the season, giving up two hits and one earned run in his two innings of service.

Texas Tech took an early lead, taking advantage of runners in scoring position in the first inning.

With runners on second and third, Nick Popescu hit a sacrifice fly to center field to bring Kolby Tomlinson home and take a 1-0 advantage. Three at-bats later, David Paiz hit a two-run single to left field to bring Barrett Barnes and Reid Redman home to make it a three-run advantage.

Oklahoma State pulled off its first comeback of the game, trailing 6-3 in the top of the fourth. The Cowboys put runners on first and third for Hunter Bailey, who singled to drive in Gabe Weidenaar. A throwing error put Bailey on second, and allowed Mark Ginther to score an unearned run to close the deficit to one run.

In the next at-bat, Bobby Shines singled back up the middle to bring Bailey home and tie the game 6-6. Two batters later, Zach Johnson sent a two-run double down the left field line to bring Phillips and Shines home to take an 8-6 advantage.

The Cowboys will play the second of their season-closing series at 5 p.m. Saturday, as they continue to build a tournament resume.
