Former Sooner Coach Jeff Capel Hired as Duke Assistant

DURHAM, North Carolina -- Former Oklahoma head basketball coach Jeff Capel returned to his alma mater , after being hired as an assistant coach by the Blue Devils Sunday.

Capel will now work for Mike Krzyzewski, after serving as the Hall of Fame coach’s starting point guard for his four seasons as a Blue Devil.

During his time as the Sooners’ head coach, Capel led OU to a 96-69 record in five seasons, including an Elite Eight appearance in the 2008-2009 season.
