OU Basketball Fan Feedback Transitioning to Twitter

NORMAN, Okla. – The University of Oklahoma has announced that it is transitioning fan feedback for the OU basketball program from email to Twitter.

When Lon Kruger took over for the Sooners, the school released a public email address for the coach – coachkruger@ou.edu.

But Friday will be the last day for fans to email Kruger at that address.

The university has now asked that fans send their feedback, questions and comments to Kruger’s Twitter page, @LonKruger (www.Twitter.com/LonKruger).

The Twitter page already has more than 4,000 followers.

Kruger released a statement thanking students and fans who have emailed so far.

"The fan reaction has been incredible and our staff and players are very appreciative of the support,” he said. “We have received more than 600 emails and we continue to read every message. Many of them include valuable feedback that will help us improve our program, which was the goal of this public endeavor.

"One of the reasons we've decided to shift our collection of fan feedback to Twitter is because we believe it will allow us to be more conversational with our supporters."
