STILLWATER, Okla. -- OSU's highly-touted basketball class of two players has now been reduced to one.
Karron Johnson, a talented 6-8 forward from Midland College in Texas, will not be joining Oklahoma State next season, OSU coach Travis Ford said after his team's loss to Texas A&M on Saturday.
“He won’t be here,” Ford said. “That’s all I have to say about that."
Johnson was impressive on the court but ran into trouble at several other schools and was dismissed from the teams.
He averaged nine points and six rebounds at Midland before getting suspended in November 2010 and never returning to the team.
Johnson and five-star high school recruit LeBryan Nash of Lincoln High School in Dallas were Oklahoma State's only two recruits for next season. OSU now has one scholarship to offer to reach the maximum of 13 if it chooses.
