Blankenship to Announce TU Coaching Staff

TULSA, Oklahoma—University of Tulsa head football coach Bill Blankenship will introduce the final new members of the Golden Hurricane coaching staff in a press conference at 1:30 p.m. Friday.

Oklahoma Sports will live stream announcement starting at 1:25 p.m. so be sure to tune in for a first look at the new coaches.

Blankenship, who was announced as the new head coach at Tulsa one week ago, will announce the new coaches then each will talk to the media for the first time as Tulsa coaches.

Tuesday, Blankenship named former Golden Hurricane offensive lineman and collegiate head coach Denver Johnson, Scott Downing, the former head coach at Northern Colorado Greg Peterson to the Hurricane coaching staff.

Peterson will serve as offensive coordinator and receiver coach, Downing has been appointed assistant head coach and Johnson will coach the offensive line. These coaches join Van Malone, Archie McDaniel and Jess Loepp already on the Tulsa coaching staff.
