TULSA, Oklahoma – Former Tulsa coach Todd Graham officially announced his coaching staff today, which includes three who were assistants under Graham at Tulsa.
The most recent addition to the staff is former Golden Hurricane offensive line coach Spencer Leftwich, who will coach the same position at Pitt.
Leftwich coached the offensive line at Tulsa for four season (2003-07) before taking the same position at North Texas. He returned to Tulsa once again to coach the offensive line after a short stint at North Texas before leaving TU to join Graham in Pittsburgh.
Also leaving with Graham were co-offensive coordinator Mike Norvell and defensive coordinator Keith Patterson. Both will keep their same titles for the Panthers.
Graham’s staff will also include Calvin Magee, who was the co-offensive coordinator at Michigan, Tony Gibson and Tony Dews of Michigan, Paul Randolph, who coached under Graham at Rice, and former North Texas head coach Todd Dodge.
Tulsa offensive coordinator Chad Morris also left the Golden Hurricane to be the offensive coordinator at Clemson, leaving TU with just four coaches remaining on the staff.
Bill Blankenship, who coached special teams and running backs and was the senior associate head coach, is now the head coach for the Golden Hurricane.
Jess Loepp (outside linebackers coach), Van Malone (secondary coach and recruiting coordinator) and Archie McDaniel, who coaches H-backs and tight ends, still remain on the staff.
