Tulsa Drops TCU in Last Contest before Conference
The Golden Hurricane put together a run late to top the Horned Frogs at home.

TULSA, Oklahoma -- The Tulsa Golden Hurricane held off a late surge by TCU Thursday to win their last matchup before conference play 69-66.
After a low scoring first half, the Golden Hurricane (7-6) started the second half with a 14-4 run to take a 39-29 lead, the largest advantage either team would hold.
The Horned Frogs (9-5) battled back to tie the game, but Tulsa went on a 10-6 run with less than three minutes left in the game to close it out.
Tulsa’s Justin Hurtt led all scorers with 23 points, while forward Steven Idlet chipped in 22 points and grabbed 14 boards.
Ronnie Moss led all TCU scorers with 19, while Greg Hill added 12 in 13 minutes off of the bench.
The Golden Hurricane will open Conference-USA play at 8:05 p.m. in El Paso, Texas against the UTEP Miners.
