OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma City Thunder’s Russell Westbrook and NBA Hall of Famer Bob Lanier were both at Roosevelt High School Thursday to take part in the “Vaccines for Teens Drive.”

The drive is part of a partnership of NBA Cares and the Society for Adolescent Medicine to raise awareness about immunizations and to encourage teenagers to get vaccinated. The drive is focused on vaccinations for meningitis, HPV, influenza and pertussis.

The event at Roosevelt was just one of many held across the country that allow teens to meet basketball icons while getting their shots. To learn more about Vaccines for Teens and its goals, visit its website at http://www.vaccinesforteens.com.
