STILLWATER, Oklahoma -- Fans are filling every inch of the Oklahoma State campus around T. Boone Pickens Stadium, gearing up for one of the most highly-anticipated Bedlam matchups in years.
“I’m a senior. This is my last Bedlam, so this is really important to me,” said student Austin Holloway. “This is the best team we’ve had in a long time, so it should be a really good game.”
Before the sun rose, Holloway was one of many die-hard fans who braved the bitter cold, stocked up on energy drinks and showed no shortage of their football spirit.
“We call them the triplets here in OSU,” Holloway said. “That’s because we have the best QB, the best wide receiver and the best running back in the nation.”
Some of the fans in the front of the line have been camping out since Friday afternoon. They may be sleep deprived, but they’re ready for the showdown between the Cowboys and the Sooners.
ESPN’s College Game Day is set up and ready to broadcast live from the Cowboy’s campus.
“Being a freshman, it’s awesome to see this happening for the football team,” OSU fan Cal Ross said. “I’ve been a fan all my life.”
While the crowd looked like a sea of orange, sprinkles of crimson and cream also made the show. Among the crowd is a redshirt freshman quarterback pumped up for one of the biggest Bedlam game in years.
“We really click on the football field and really felt our presence,” Midwest City graduate and Cowboy quarterback Jase Chilcoat said.
The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Here’s what you need to know before kickoff.
