NORMAN, Oklahoma -- Former University of Oklahoma standout defensive tackle Gerald McCoy has reached a contract agreement with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to Rick Stroud of the St. Petersburg Times.
McCoy, the third overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, is expected to attend the team's afternoon practice Saturday.
"We're finishing up some language and paperwork," Tampa Bay general manager Mark Dominik told the newspaper. "We've got a few things left."
Dominik also announced the team had come to terms with left tackle Donald Penn.
"It's a great day for the Bucs in terms of securing two players to long-term deals that can be really important to the organization," said Dominik.
The deal will pay McCoy $63 million dollars over the next five years with $35 million guaranteed.
