Tulsa Drillers Fall to Northwest Arkansas

TULSA, Oklahoma -- The fireworks started early in the Northwest Arkansas Naturals 5-3 win over the Tulsa Drillers Wednesday.

Johnny Giavotella hit a two-run home run in the second at-bat of the game to put the Naturals up 2-0.

Wilin Rosario answered back with a three-run shot of his own in the bottom of the first to put Tulsa on top 3-2. That was the last run the Drillers would score.

Tim Smith crossed the plate in the fourth inning to tie the game 3-3. The Naturals would score two more in the seventh to take a two run lead.

Ching Lung Lo (3-4) gave up two earned runs in two innings and was tagged with the loss.

Blake Johnson (2-2) tossed three scoreless innings to earn the win in relief.

The two teams conclude their series at 7:05 p.m. Thursday.
