OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Oklahoma City Thunder and Kevin Durant have agreed to a five-year contract extension, according to the star forward's Twitter account.
His Tweet read: “Exstension for 5 more years wit the #thunder....God Is Great, me and my family came a long way...I love yall man forreal, this a blessing!”
Durant, known for being an active social media user, posted the following on his Facebook account:
"So happy about this extension. First time i cried n a while..Seat Pleasant we outchea, RIp Chucky, we doin wat we dreamed about..i swear i love all my bros!! yessir!!!"

According to an article on ESPN, Kevin Durant’s agent said the deal would be worth an estimated $85 million over the five years.
Durant can officially sign the contract on July 8.
The following day, in response to his proper handling of his contract situation, Durant responded again on Twitter.
"I really don't deserve this praise for handling my deal the way I did...plenty of guys did it the way I did," he said.

Oklahoma Sports requested additional information from the team, but Thunder representatives did not immediately respond.
