TULSA, Oklahoma -- The Tulsa Drillers overcame an early deficit to earn its second straight win over the Corpus Christi Hooks 6-3 Friday.
The Hooks (36-42) took the lead in the top of the third when Jonathan Gaston tripled to center field to score two. In the next at-bat, Jhon Florentino singled to left field to bring Gaston home and take a 3-0 lead.
In the bottom of the sixth, Wilin Rosario hit a two-run, two-out home run over the left field wall to close the gap to one run. Two innings later, Kiel Roling doubled to center to bring Bronson Sardinha home from third to tie the game 3-3.
Back-to-back doubles in the bottom of the seventh by Jason Van Kooten and Sardinha gave Tulsa a 5-2 lead. In the bottom of the eighth, Warren Schaeffer reached on a fielding error at third, allowing Mitch Morrell to score from third and make it a four-run lead.
Greg Reynolds (2-2) pitched seven innings for the Drillers, allowing three earned runs on six hits. Fernando Abad (0-3) stayed winless on the season for Corpus Christi, allowing two earned runs on three hits in his one inning of service.
Tulsa will try to complete the three-game sweep at 7:05 p.m. Saturday.
