OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma -- The Oklahoma City RedHawks could soon have a new owner in Mandalay Baseball Properties, LLC.

An Oklahoma City council agenda item indicated the lease of the AT&T Bricktown Ballpark would be transferred from the team’s current owners to Mandalay, which has offered to buy the RedHawks.

The price of the team remains disclosed, but Mandalay already owns four minor-league baseball teams. If the purchase is approved by the Pacific Coast League, Oklahoma City would be the company’s first team above Double-A in Mandalay’s ownership.
