STILLWATER, Oklahoma – The Big 12 Conference announced Tuesday that Oklahoma State’s season opener against Washington State will be aired on the Fox Sports Network at 6 p.m. Sept. 4.
The opener is now one of four Cowboys games that have been selected early by networks. OSU’s game against Texas A&M on Sept. 30 will air on ESPN and its contest against Louisiana-Lafayette on Oct. 8 will air on ESPN2.
The annual Bedlam showdown between OSU and OU will be shown on ABC on Sept. 27, but a time for that game has not yet been announced. It will start at either 2.30 or 7 p.m., with the decision coming down to whether the network decides to make the game its featured contest of the night.
ABC and FSN will continue to announce other games they will televise as the season goes on. The Big 12 generally announces television schedules 12 days before the games are played, but ABC can exercise a six-day option three times throughout the season. The network tends to use those options on games between teams that have the potential to be highly ranked when they face each other.
