OKLAHOMA CITY -- Fresno continued to dominate Oklahoma City and secured the series sweep with a 4-1 win Tuesday.
Grizzlies’ (27-12) pitcher Eric Hacker (7-1) kept the RedHawks in check for most of the contest, giving up only four hits in his seven innings of service. Michael Ballard (2-2) was credited with a loss for the game after giving up three earned runs on five hits and walking five in his five innings of service.
Fresno scored its first run of the game in the top of the second when Angel Berroa grounded out to second base, allowing Joe Borchard to score and take a 1-0 lead.
In the top of the third, Buster Posey hit a two run double to right field to bring Brock Bond and Ryan Lormand home and give the Grizzlies a three-run advantage. They added one more in the top of the fifth when Lormand scored on a throwing error by Oklahoma City catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia.
Oklahoma City’s only run of the game came on a Hernan Iribarren RBI single to center to bring Chad Tracy home.
The RedHawks will take a day off before traveling to Portland to take on the Beavers.
