AUSTIN, Texas -- OSU pitcher Kat Espinosa dominated the Longhorns with a complete game no-hitter to lead the No. 7 Cowgirls to a 1-0 win over No. 15 Texas.
Espinosa (18-4) only allowed two batters to reach base, hitting the third batter she faced and walking Amy Hooks in the seventh after retiring 18-straight batters.
Texas’ (37-10, 10-2) pitcher Blaire Luna (24-6) pitched a complete game as well, only giving up three hits and one earned run in her outing against OSU.
Oklahoma State’s (41-10, 10-3) only run of the game came in the top of the second, when Sam Heinlein single to center field scored Tamara Brown to give OSU the 1-0 lead.
The Cowgirls are back in action Wednesday for a Bedlam Softball matchup in Norman.
