Thunder Assigns Mullens and Shakur to 66ers

After being called up for the Memphis game Byron Mullens and Mustafa Shakur were assigned to the D-league.

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Byron Mullens and Mustafa Shakur have been assigned to the Tulsa 66ers.

Mullens and Shakur are being assigned in time for Friday's D-League semi-final playoff match-up between the Tulsa 66ers and the Iowa Energy.

Earlier today, Shakur was named to the 2009-10 All NBA D-League Second Team while Mullens received an All-League Honorable Mention.

In 47 starts for the 66ers this season, Shakur recorded 10 double-doubles while averaging 19.3 points, 6.9 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 2.3 steals in 37.9 minutes per contest. He was signed by the Thunder on March 31st, but is yet to make an appearance for Oklahoma City.

Thunder rookie Byron Mullens, appeared in 27 games with the 66ers this season and posted averages of 15.0 points and 7.5 rebounds in 31.5 minutes per contest.

The 66ers tip-off against the Iowa Energy later this evening (7:00pm) at the Tulsa Convention Center in downtown Tulsa, Oklahoma.
