OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma City RedHawks closed out their eight-game home stand with a 3-2 win over Round Rock.
Justin Smoak’s line drive single in the bottom of the first inning drove in Chad Tracy tying the game at 1-1.
Round Rock added a run in the top of the third inning to regain the lead 2-1. In the bottom of the third inning Oklahoma City took the lead for good. Esteban German singled to shortstop, scoring GregorioPetit from second base. Hot-hitting Chad Tracy delivered with two outs in the inning, his triple drove in Esteban German to give Oklahoma City a 3-2 advantage.
Tracy finished with two-hits and owns a .342 batting average after eight games.
The RedHawks pitching staff kept Round Rock scoreless for the final six innings. Oklahoma City out-hit the Express eight to five.
Michael Kirkman earned his first victory of the season for the RedHawks. The left-hander pitched five innings, allowing four hits and two earned runs. Kirkman also struck out three batters.
The RedHawks (5-3) start a four-game series at Memphis Friday.
