TULSA, Oklahoma -- The Oral Roberts Golden Eagles fell to the University of Arkansas Little Rock Trojans Tuesday night, 13-9.
The Golden Eagles (16-14) put up two runs in the first inning before the Trojans (21-14) answered back in the top of the second with four runs of their own. ORU was able to regain the lead in the bottom of the inning by posting three more runs, but UALR again responded with five more runs to take the lead 9-5 in the top of the third.
The Golden Eagles posted four more runs combined in the fifth and seventh inning, but a strong ninth-inning finish led to a Trojan victory of 13-9.
JR Boling earned the win, improving to 3-2. He pitched 1.1 innings, facing four batters. Dan Martony (101) finished with the loss after giving up four runs.
The Oral Roberts Golden Eagles will travel to Cedar City, Utah April 15 to play in a three-game series against Southern Utah.
