OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Oklahoma City RedHawks defeated the Albuquerque Isotopes 7-6 Saturday. The two teams combined for 13 runs on 23 hits.

The RedHawks’ (2-1) bats exploded for three home runs in the seventh inning. Chad Tracy hit a two-run homer to left center field which gave Oklahoma City a 6-5 lead. It was Tracy’s second homer of the game. Justin Smoak followed that up on the very next pitch with a solo shot into left to put the RedHawks on top 7-5.

Tracy belted his first homer of the game in the fifth inning. That solo home run to left tied the game 4-4. Tracy finished 3-for-4 with 4 RBIs.

Russ Mitchell led off the second inning with a home run to center field to give the Isotopes a 3-1 lead. That would be Albuquerque’s (1-2) only home run of the game.

Both teams started off hot. The Isotopes scored back-to-back runs in the top of the first while Oklahoma City had a runner cross the plate in each of the first three innings.

Elizardo Ramirez (1-0) earned the win for Oklahoma City giving up two earned runs in 2.1 innings of relief. Tim Corcoran (1-1) was tagged with the loss for the Isotopes after allowing three earned runs in 3.2 innings.

The RedHawks and Isotopes conclude their four-game series at 4:05 p.m. Sunday.
