NEW YORK -- The Tulsa Shock selected former Oklahoma forward Amanda Thompson in the second round of the WNBA Draft Thursday.

The Chicago native averaged 14.5 points per game and 11.8 rebounds per contest for the Sooners this past season.

Tulsa picked forward Vivan Frieson with the No.31 selection in the third round. Frieson earned All-West Coast Conference First Team selections in 2009 and 2010.

The Shock moved from Detroit to Tulsa for the upcoming season after finishing 18-16. Tulsa will host Minnesota in the season opener at 7:00 p.m. May 15.
