SOUTHAVEN, Mississippi – Mississippi used three third period goals to beat the Oilers 6-4 on Friday night.

Glenn Detulleo and Troy Riddle traded goals in the first period and the two teams went into the second tied at 2-2.

Tulsa would take a 3-2 lead three minutes into the second period when Travis Banga put one in net, but Mississippi would tie things up five minutes later on a Ken Davis goal.

After neither team scored for nearly 20 minutes, Mississippi took a 4-3 lead with a score by Elias Godoy. Ryan Held and Detulleo put the game out of reach with goals late in the period. Troy Riddle scored with three seconds remaining to account for Tulsa’s final score.

Marty Magers made 42 saves and took the loss, while Kyle McNulty made 19 saves and picked up the victory.
