NORMAN, Oklahoma -- A high-speed pursuit that began at a Moore credit union this morning ended in a northwest Norman neighborhood after two men attempted to break into an OU coach's home.
Police said the pursuit began after officers spotted a suspicious vehicle. The suspects led police down southbound Interstate 35 where they exited at Robinson Avenue near N.W. 48th Street and getting out of the vehicle outside the home of University of Oklahoma running backs Coach Cale Gundy.
Police had one female in custody and later found two males who were taken into custody as well.
There were initial reports of a hostage in the car, but police later said all three people in the car were taken into custody.
Truman Elementary, which is nearby, was placed on lockdown as a result of the pursuit.
Officers are looking for a gun one of the suspects was believed to have abandoned.
