Oklahoma State grabbed one of the state of Oklahoma’s best quarterback recruits in Johnny Deaton months before tomorrow’s National Signing Day.
It looks like the Cowboys have trumped themselves.
Talented junior quarterback J.W. Walsh, one of the best signal-callers in Texas, has committed to Oklahoma State, according to OStateIllustrated.com’s Jay Fielder.
In the story, Fielder writes that new offensive coordinator Dana Holgorsen was crucial in the recruiting process and had Walsh targeted from the get-go.
Walsh - a Denton Guyer high school prospect - said that he called head coach Mike Gundy himself to inform him of the decision and says he is “100 percent” committed to Oklahoma State.
