MOBILE, Alabama -- Former Oklahoma State quarterback Zac Robinson threw for 176 yards and one touchdown for the South team as the North beat the South 31-13 in the 2010 Senior Bowl.
Robinson, who completed 12 of his 21 pass attempts, led the only touchdown drive for the South. He also outshined former Florida quarterback Tim Tebow, who fumbled twice and finished 8 of 12 passing for 50 yards.
With 1:22 remaining in the second quarter, Robinson took the field for the first time and completed his first pass to Jeremy Williams (Tulane). He completed two more passes on the drive, including a 19-yard score to Colin Peek (Alabama). The score cut the North’s lead to 17-13, but that was as close as the South would get for the rest of the game.
Robinson started strong on his first drive of the second half by completing a 27-yard pass to Andre Roberts (Citadel). The drive ended on the next play, though, when Robinson fumbled and Tyson Alualu (Cal) recovered for the North.
In his only action of the fourth quarter, Robinson engineered a 14-play, 65-yard drive. After nearly fumbling on the first play, he completed seven of his next 11 passes and rushed one time for six yards. It would be all for naught, however, as Sean Weatherspoon (Missouri) ended the drive by intercepting Robinson at the North three-yard line.
Robinson’s former teammate, Perrish Cox, returned one kick for 11 yards and had one tackle. Former Oklahoma running back Chris Brown was also a participant, but did not record stats.
