HOUSTON -- The Tulsa Golden Hurricane drops its sixth straight Conference USA game 77-69 to Houston.
Larrissa Wiliams had 20 points and was the only starter in double-figures. Tatum Beer and Kara Vaughn came off the bench to add 18 and 15, respectively, for the Golden Hurricane.
Houston (10-9, 4-2) started the game on a 7-0 run but Tulsa (6-11, 0-6) did not let the Cougars run away early. The Hurricane held a 28-26 lead with less than 90 seconds to play in the first half but went into halftime down 30-28.
TU was never able to close the gap in the second half. Houston used a 13-5 run midway through the second half to keep its distance from the Hurricane.
