DALLAS, Texas -- The Cowboys' Cotton Bowl matchup with Ole Miss is only a few days away, and that means that the pre-bowl festivities are in full swing.
Tuesday the Cowboys participated in the annual Lawry’s Beef Bowl, a prime rib dinner that has turned into an unofficial eating contest between the teams.
Earlier in the day, the OSU players and coaches paid a visit to the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. The hospital is one of the top centers for pediatric orthopedic conditions in the world, and all services are provided without charge to patient families.
One of the donors to the hospital is a name familiar to Oklahoma State fans, the man who the stadium is named for, T. Boone Pickens, who was also in attendance during the visit.
During the visit Oklahoma State offensive lineman Noah Franklin received a haircut from teammate Andrew Mitchell, and will donate the cut hair to Locks of Love. Franklin has grown and donated his hair to the charity since his sophomore year in high school.
