IRVING, Texas -- Zac Robinson suffered a sprained AC joint as a result of a brutal goal-line hit in the closing minutes of a win over Texas Tech.
OSU's senior quarterback spoke Tuesday in Irving about the severity of his recent injuries, as his Cowboys prepare for Saturday's Cotton Bowl matchup with Ole Miss.
"Actually, I had a sprained AC in my shoulder," Oklahoma State's all-time leading passer said. "There was a lot of bruising (in the shoulder), but it ended up being a pretty good AC sprain."
Pressed with the question, "Is there still pain there?" Robinson hesitated before offering a quick, "No."
After leaving the game against the Red Raiders, Robinson did not suit up the following week versus Colorado. He did play in the season finale at OU, but finished 9-of-21 passing for just 44 yards.
Asked if he expected to start and play every snap against Ole Miss, Robinson responded, "Yes. No doubt."
In the opening week of the season, Bedlam rival and fellow quarterbackSam Bradford also sprained the AC joint in his shoulder. Robinson said he actually shared news of his injury with the 2008 Heisman Trophy winner.
"First thing, I texted Sam and kind of asked him about it. And he said, 'Man, those things hurt. I feel your pain.'
"It's gotten a lot better, and it will be fine."
