STILLWATER, Oklahoma – The OSU women’s basketball team led from start to finish Thursday on the way to a 69-46 victory over UC-Riverside.
Riverside (2-6) kept up early in the game and was down by only three halfway through the first half. But the Cowgirls (7-2) responded by going on a 12-2 run to extend the lead. UC-Riverside was never within striking distance again.
OSU carried a 32-18 lead into halftime and didn’t let up as the second half. The Cowgirls outscored Riverside again to earn their second-largest margin of victory this season.
Tegan Cunningham led all scorers with 26 points and Andrea Riley added 16. The rest of the team combined to score 27 points.
Oklahoma State has now won three games in a row and will look to continue that success at 2 p.m. Saturday against Mercer in Stillwater.
