TULSA, Oklahoma – Michael Craion made a layup with less than one second left in the game to earn a one-point upset victory 60-59 over Missouri Wednesday.
ORU (6-4) trailed by 10 points with four minutes left in the game, but went on a 13-2 run capped off by Craion’s layup to finish the game.
The Golden Eagles led for most of the first half, and Missouri (5-3) did not take its first lead until going into halftime with a 26-24 lead. The Tigers extended that lead in the second half, but were unable to close out ORU, setting up the Golden Eagles’ late comeback.
Dominique Morrison led all scorers with 21 points, and Craion added 14. Marcus Denmon led Missouri with 17 points, and J.T. Tiller scored 13.
Oral Roberts has now won its last three games and has held its opponents below 60 points in each of those games. Missouri started the year on a hot streak, winning its first four games. Since then, the Tigers have dropped three of their last four.
