TULSA, Oklahoma -- Tulsa Police arrested a 27-year-old man Monday night suspected of robbing a Walgreens pharmacy earlier in the day.
Police were called to the Walgreens at 51st and Memorial just before 6 p.m. Monday.
Corporal Matt Hart said witnesses were able to provide officers with a description of the suspect's vehicle, including a license plate number.
Hart said members of the Northern Oklahoma Violent Crimes Task Force, along with Tulsa Police, Broken Arrow Police, and U.S. Marshals, were able to track the license plate number to a home near 95th and South Lakewood.
Hart said officers set up surveillance and after several hours, approached Wayne Torbett as he was leaving the house.
"As he was running he was throwing pill bottles out," Hart said.
Police arrested Torbett. A second man was detained but not arrested.
