City Of Tulsa To Set Up Taxi Stand At 18th And Boston

The city of Tulsa will unveil the city's first taxi cab stand for entertainment districts Wednesday afternoon.

TULSA, Oklahoma -- The city of Tulsa will unveil the city's first taxi cab stand for entertainment districts Wednesday afternoon.

Mayor Dewey Bartlett will be on hand for the event at 18th and Boston at 2 p.m.

Tulsa officials say business owners from the 18th and Boston area contacted the City of Tulsa to request a taxi cab stand for their entertainment district.

City ordinances state the Mayor may establish taxicab stands as required for public convenience and necessity.

During Wednesday's news conference, the Mayor will also explain how other entertainment districts in Tulsa can request a taxi cab stand for their curbsides.
