Inola Woman Killed In Rogers County Crash

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said Kathleen Thompson, 45, was driving south on county road 417 at a high rate of speed when she lost control and went off the road.

ROGERS COUNTY – An Inola woman was killed Wednesday night when she lost control of her pickup truck, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said.

The crash happened about 4 p.m. on county road 417 in Rogers County.

Troopers said Kathleen Thompson, 45, was driving south on county road 417 in a 1998 Ford F-150at a high rate of speed when she lost control and went off the road.

According to the report, Thompson overcorrected, came back across the road and hit a culvert, then came back across the road again, rolling the pickup truck.

Troopers said Thompson, who was pinned for 20 minutes before she was extricated by the Tiawah Fire Department, was not wearing a seatbelt.
