TULSA, Oklahoma -- Reports of a domestic disturbance led Tulsa police to a meth lab in the laundry room of an apartment complex at 4550 E. 33rd Street. Police arrived at the Conway Park Apartments for Mature Living at about 11:30 p.m. Saturday night in response to the disturbance call.
While at the complex, officers were told about a possible meth lab in a storage closet in the laundry area. A search confirmed that was a meth lab in operation, and hazardous materials crews tested and dismantled the equipment.
The meth lab created an additional hazard because the closet is next to a water heater, police said.
Police said the closet is generally accessible to management only but occasionally gets rented out to tenants. They are investigating to learn who was operating the methamphetamine lab.
If you can help police in their investigation, call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
