Five Tulsans Arrested After Deputies Get Tip On Meth Lab

TULSA, Oklahoma -- Five Tulsa residents were arrested after Tulsa County Sheriff's Office deputies find what they believe was a meth lab in a home early Thursday morning in the 1500 block of South College.

Deputies say they got a tip about an unusual amount of traffic in and out of the home.

"It came through a third party information that we got, 'Hey, here's what we think is going on in our neighborhood' and we were able to go out there and verify it and make these arrests," Chief Tim Albin, Tulsa County Sheriff's Office, said.

A sheriff's deputy investigated and witnessed one of the home's occupants put a trash bag in a nearby dumpster.  The deputy looked in the dumpster and found meth making materials.

Deputies obtained a search warrant and arrested the five residents.

The five were all booked into the Tulsa County jail on a complaint of endeavoring to manufacture a controlled and dangerous substance.

Inside the home investigators found a host of items used to make meth including empty bottles, a marijuana pipe, pseudoephidrine, gasoline cans, and drain cleaner.

News On 6 spoke with spoke with two neighbors who didn't want us to use their names. They both say the small home saw a lot of traffic, with people coming at all hours of the day.

"Well yes it was busy, just a stream of them," a neighbor said.

"Just frustrated. There's not much you can really do about it. You can report it, of course, and watch for it," another neighbor said.
