OKLAHOMA CITY -- State representative Josh Cockroft has introduced a bill to phase out the tax over the next five years.

Supporters say it would give Oklahoma's economy a competitive advantage. Opponents say state budgets are already hurting and can't afford to take another hit.

Oklahoma would become the tenth state to get rid of its income tax.
