PICHER, Oklahoma -- Crews are demolishing what little is left of the Picher.

A tornado ripped apart much of Picher in 2008. The federal government bought out any remaining residents.

Picher sits on the Tar Creek Superfund site - one of America's largest toxic clean-up projects. Tearing down the last buildings in town will leave little physical evidence Picher ever even existed.
