TULSA, Oklahoma -- Police are investigating whether heavy fog early Tuesday played a role in a deadly crash in north Tulsa.
The crash happened at around 1 a.m. near the intersection of Independence and North Louisville.
Tulsa Police were trying to pull the car over at Admiral and Pittsburg, but the 20-year-old driver sped off.
Because of the fog, police decided not to chase the vehicle.
A short time later, they found the car crashed into a cedar tree in a yard. Police say the car hit a tree, went over a pickup truck and landed upside down.
The driver, Justin Shipley, was pronounced dead at the scene.
