Witnesses say the a car was going 80 to 90 m.p.h. before hitting a barrier and going airborne. A 2-year-old passenger in the car was killed.

Toddler Killed Christmas Day In Wreck On Tulsa Highway

TULSA, Oklahoma -- A small child was killed in a crash on U.S. Highway 75 at 81st Street at about 6:10 p.m. Christmas. Witnesses told police the driver was going 80 or 90 miles an hour when she hit a barrier, and flew up and over 81st street - crashing into the embankment on the other side of the road.

EMSA says the 28-year-old woman was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

The 3-year-old inside the SUV was pronounced dead at the hospital, according to a Tulsa Police Department spokesperson.

The accident is under investigation. It is unknown whether alcohol played a role in the wreck.
