Tulsa Apartment Resident Uses Shotgun To Scare Robber Away

TULSA, Oklahoma -- Tulsa Police are searching for a man who tried to break into an east Tulsa apartment late Tuesday night.

Police were called to the Cimarron Apartments in the 13200 block of East 31st Street at around 11:30 p.m.

The resident, Darnell Bagby told officers he was sitting in his living room when he heard someone knocking at the door.

Bagby ignored the knocking, but grabbed a shotgun.

When the suspect outside eventually kicked in the door, he came face to face with the shotgun.

The suspect described as a black male, 5'8"-5'10", 180 lbs wearing a white or red jacket and black or blue pants, turned and ran away.

Bagby was not injured.
