TULSA, Oklahoma -- Come one, come all for the McNellie's Holiday Parade of Lights starting at 6 p.m. Saturday. Expect to see tons of Christmas lights, floats, huge balloons and more. Be sure to dress warmly and expect gusty winds as a cold front moves into the area.

Downtown Tulsa streets are closing as early as 11 a.m. Saturday in preparation for the McNellies Parade of Lights.

Parade route: North on Cincinnati Avenue from 7th Street to 5th Street, east (right) on 5th Street to Elgin Avenue, north (left) on Elgin Avenue to 2nd Street, west (left) on 2nd Street to Detroit Avenue, south (left) on Detroit Avenue to 3rd Street, west (right) on 3rd Street to Denver Avenue, south (left) on Denver Avenue to 8th Street and disband on 8th Street to Main Street. The parade route will be closed from 5 - 8 p.m.

The City of Tulsa has released the following street closing information:

Pre-Staging Area: Cincinnati Avenue between 6th Street and 9th Street will be closed from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Staging Area: 8th Street and 9th Street between Main Street and Detroit Avenue, and Boston Avenue and Cincinnati Avenue between 7th Street and 10th Street will be closed from 3 - 8:30 p.m.

Getting there/leaving: The best ingress into the closed section of the venue is north on Boulder Avenue from 10th Street. The best egress out of the closed section of the venue is south on Cheyenne Avenue from 6th Street.

Street Parking: Vehicles parked on the above route and staging areas will be subject to tow from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. This includes loading zones or any type of parking spaces.

Depending upon any unknown circumstances, the listed times and information may be altered by the Tulsa Police Department accordingly.
