ALTUS, Okla. (AP) -- Altus police are awaiting the results of an autopsy on a two-month-old baby who died at a hospital.
Emergency responders received a 911 call about 2:13 p.m. Wednesday of an infant who was unresponsive and not breathing.
The girl was taken to Jackson County Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Assistant Chief of Police Mike Turner told the Altus Times that one of the parents found the baby and made the call.
The infant has been sent to the Oklahoma Medical Examiner's Office. Turner says there's nothing to immediately indicate foul play was involved, but investigators won't know until an autopsy is completed.
No names have been released and no one has been arrested in connection with the death.
